What do we do for customization?
Screen Printing
Screen printing is an ink-based print that we print directly onto the material, giving it a soft finish. This method is more cost-effective as compared to other customization methods. Screen printing does involve setup fees, as setting up prints on our machine is required. Setup fees are based on the number of colors and designs used per order. But we don’t charge a setup cost if you are buying apparel from us. The requirements for files format must be in the following (.ai, .pdf, .eps, .png)
Embroidery
Embroidery is considered a premium decoration on garments. Designs and logos are stitched through fabric with a needle at high speed. This method is great for businesses wanting a more professional image. It also works well on heavy garments like hoodies and jackets and tends to be more durable. Embroidery, however, can be limited for small details. Because small details cannot come that good through embroidery. So for this problem we recommend making embroidered patches and then sewing or heat transferring them onto apparel. This method has setup fees, as digitizing artwork on our machine is required.
DTG (Digital or Direct to Garment) Printing
Another method is DTG, which transfers artwork onto garments via a computer-based inkjet system. This allows us to print just about any artwork at high resolution and in great detail (e.g., images with a lot of color). Since DTG doesn’t have any setup costs, this method is great for low runs requiring the use of many colors. So clients who prefer a softer, smoother finish on their garments often choose this method over heat transfer vinyl. For DTG printing, we need a .png file for all transparent background files. For images they must be high resolution .jpeg 300
Heat Transfer Vinyl
This is a method of print that has an adhesive back. The vinyl is pressed onto garments at a high heat. This type of print is thicker in comparison to screen prints. Also, the quality of the prints is more vibrant. Plus, this method of print is great for small runs and has a faster turnaround time compared to other methods.
Custom Tags/Label
We do custom tags if you want to start your own brand of custom printing and embroidery in Missoula. We can produce woven labels on various types of material, including basic Taffeta Broadloom, Taffeta Broadloom Damask, Taffeta Needle Loom, Satin Broadloom, and Satin Needle Loom, to name a few. The other labels are for care instructions. For these labels, we prefer Matt Soft Touch material in black print.
